Community Support Programs Branch

Supported Education Implementation Guide

The CSP Branch is supporting the development of a Supported Education Implementation Guide. This guide will include materials for administrators, clinicians, consumers, and family members on the implementation of supported education programs and will be tested at pilot sites.

The Supported Education Implementation Guide will provide information about different models of supported education practices that are effective and information on how to implement these models in community settings. The objective of supported employment is to help people with serious mental illness begin or return to postsecondary education. Education then becomes part of the training that consumers can use to achieve their learning and recovery goals and/or become gainfully employed in the career of their choice.

For more information on the timeline for production of this Guide, check back to this site at a later date.
