Partnerships for Evidence-Based Practices Initiatives
While the Community Support Programs (CSP) Branch engages in a number of collaboration around evidence-based practices (EBPs), two in particular bear mention:
National Implementation Research Network (NIRN)
In 2005, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)-funded National Implementation Research Network (NIRN) at the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute to examine critical issues in implementing EBPs. The group produced a synthesis of the research literature across diverse fields of study that lays out effective ways to get evidence-based services into practice. National Registry of Effective Programs and Practices (NREPP)
The Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) is in the process of adapting SAMHSA’s Center for Substance Abuse Prevention’s (CSAP’s) National Registry of Effective Programs and Practices (NREPP) to highlight model programs for mental health services.
