Anna Marsh, Ph.D.
Deputy Director, Center for Mental Health Services

Anna Marsh, Ph.D.

Dr. Anna Marsh is Deputy Director of the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS). She has worked for SAMHSA and its predecessor agency, the Alcohol, Drug Abuse, and Mental Health Administration, since 1985. She has served as: Acting Director of the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention; Acting Director and Deputy Director of the Office of Applied Studies; Executive Officer of SAMHSA and Director of the Office of Program Services (OPS); Deputy Director of the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT); Director of the Division of Administrative Services in OPS; and Chief of the Quality Assurance and Evaluation Branch in the Division of State Assistance at CSAT. She also worked for the National Institute of Mental Health and St. Elizabeths Hospital. Dr. Marsh received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Yale University, where she was a Fellow at the Bush Center in Child Development and Social Policy. She received her B.A. in Psychology from George Washington University.
