Community Support Programs Branch
Welcome
The Community Support Programs (CSP) Branch champions community-based programs and services
that promote recovery for adults with serious mental illnesses. For 30 years the activities of
the Federal CSP have been at the cutting-edge of changes in service delivery. CSP has also
been in the forefront in recognizing the important roles that consumers and families play in
systems improvements and in the recovery process. Today the aim of the CSP Branch is to
ensure a life in the community for all. Through grant funding, support of resource centers,
Federal and non-Federal partnerships, as well as the development of innovative evidence-based
products, the CSP Branch is working to improve the nation’s delivery of mental health services
across many diverse areas:
Since its conception in 1977, the mission of the CSP Branch has been to change and improve community-based
services for persons with serious mental illnesses. Click here to read
