Mental Health ProgramsAbout CMHSFrances L. Randolph, Dr.P.H., M.P.H.
Dr. Randolph is the Director of the Division of Services and Systems Improvement in the Center for Mental Health Services, SAMHSA. In this capacity she oversee the development, planning, implementation and monitoring of national programs that are designed to improve systems and service delivery for children and adults with, or at risk for, mental health problems. Her portfolio of programs includes Mental Health Transformation, Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness, Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children with Serious Emotional Disturbances, Co-Occurring, Jail Diversion, Older Adults, Trauma, Evidence-Based Practice Toolkits, HIV/AIDS, and Primary and Behavioral Health Care Integration. Dr. Randolph has lead responsibility for behavioral health workforce development for SAMHSA. The work involves creating a centralized repository of national, state, and local behavioral health workforce development resources and activities; developing toolkits; providing technical assistance; and creating a web portal that houses a library of searchable multimedia resources, provides opportunities to learn about and register for conferences, training and other events, offers access to a behavioral health job registry, and provides multiple opportunities to connect with others in the field. Dr. Randolph has also been tasked with developing the Mental Health Transformation Web Portal (MHT portal). The MHT portal strives to be the leading web site serving mental health systems reform change agents. It provides a comprehensive source of information and resources to support community-building for change agents; connects users with evidence-based and emerging best practices; facilitates cross-learning, collaboration, and knowledge development; and supports CMHS staff, grantees, and technical assistance centers with customizable work tools to promote collaboration and efficiency. Dr. Randolph received her masters and doctorate in Behavioral Health from the School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley. |
