Federal Partner Mental Health Transformation Priority Workgroup on
Disaster and Emergency Response
Overview and Mission
As part of an effort to increase communication across Federal agencies on disaster behavioral health readiness and response, the Federal Partner Mental Health Transformation Priority Workgroup on Disaster and Emergency Response was formed. The group, established in 2005, meets on a quarterly basis and strives to do the following:
- Increase visibility and foster ongoing communication on disaster behavioral health across agencies.
- Provide expertise to agencies around disaster behavioral health issues.
- Identify gaps in existing resources and make recommendations to address them.
