    Suicide Prevention in the United States
    The National Strategy for Suicide Prevention represents the combined work of advocates, clinicians, researchers, and survivors around the Nation. It lays out a framework for action to prevent suicide and guides development of an array of services and programs that must be developed.

    NIMH: Depression
    Depressive illnesses often interfere with normal functioning and cause pain and suffering not only to those who have a disorder, but also to those who care about them. Serious depression can destroy family life as well as the life of the ill person. But much of this suffering is unnecessary.
