Administration for Children and Families (ACF)
The ACF is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that is responsible for funding State, local, and tribal organizations to provide family assistance, child support, child care, child welfare, and other programs relating to children and families. The National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information is a service of the Children's Bureau within the Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Clearinghouse web pages provide access to publications and resources for professionals and others seeking information on child abuse and neglect and child welfare.
National Data Archive on Child Abuse and Neglect (NDACAN)
NDACAN takes a scholarly approach to exploring issues of child maltreatment and neglect, provides research data via an electronic mailing list and newsletter, and provides training opportunities for researchers. The web site provides access to national data on child abuse and neglect, child abuse statistics, general information about upcoming workshops and conferences, publications, and other child abuse and neglect resources.
The Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health
The Federation is a national advocacy and support organization for families of children with mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. The web site provides information about the Federation's philosophy and concept of family support, membership options, the annual conference, the quarterly newsletter of the Federation and other publications, family involvement in managed care for children and youth, and additional resources related to childhood disorders.
National Network for Youth
The National Network for Youth is made up of more than 800 organizations, young people, and other individuals committed to creating opportunities for America's youth to become contributing members of their communities, especially youth challenged by conditions of abuse and neglect. The web site provides access to national news on youth, expert commentary, an interactive forum, and quick links to phone and web resources, as well as information on youth development programs, HIV/AIDS, the National Runaway Switchboard, and member benefits and services.
