    Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
    AA is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences and gather strength from each other to stay sober and recover from alcoholism. The web site provides access to information and historical documents about AA for newcomers, members, teenagers, professionals, and the media. Information is provided in English, Spanish, and French.

    Al-Anon/Alateen
    Al-Anon and Alateen are 12-step programs that provide anonymous support to help families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem drinking of a relative or friend. The web site includes meeting information, professional resources, the 12 steps to recovery, related literature, articles from Al-Anon's monthly magazine, a calendar of events, and the newest TV public service announcements.

    Children of Alcoholics Foundation
    The Children of Alcoholics Foundation is a national, nonprofit organization that provides a range of educational materials and services to help professionals, children, and adults break the intergenerational cycle of parental substance abuse. The web site includes special sections for kids, adults, professionals, college students, and kinship caregivers.

    National Association for Children of Alcoholics
    The National Association for Children of Alcoholics is a national, nonprofit membership organization that advocates for all children and families affected by alcohol and drug use. The web site includes news articles and commentaries, a Just for Kids section, educational videos and information kits, research-supported fact sheets, books and resources for kids and parents, and links to related nonprofit organizations and government web sites.

    National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI)
    NCADI is an information service of SAMHSA's Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. The web site provides information about new publications, recent and upcoming web casts, quick facts, regional resources, and clearinghouse services related to alcohol and substance abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment.

    National GAINS Center for People with Co-Occurring Disorders in the Justice System (GAINS Center)
    The GAINS Center collects and disseminates information about effective mental health and substance abuse services for people with co-occurring disorders who come in contact with the justice system. The web site provides information about the GAINS Center and its projects, technical assistance opportunities, publications, and links to related organizations and Federal government agencies, as well as facts about adults and youth in contact with the justice system.

    National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA)
    The NIAAA, one of the 19 National Institutes of Health, supports and conducts biomedical and behavioral research on the causes, consequences, treatment, and prevention of alcoholism and alcohol-related problems. The web site provides access to publications, clinical trials, databases, news releases, research opportunities, a calendar of conferences and events, answers to frequently asked questions, and referral information and other resource.
