    American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
    AOTA is the nationally recognized professional association of approximately 35,000 occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and students of occupational therapy. Its membership seeks to advance the quality, availability, use, and support of occupational therapy by setting professional standards and by conducting advocacy, education, and research activities.

    American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF)
    AOTF promotes a society in which individuals, regardless of age or ability, may participate in occupations of their choice that give meaning to their lives and foster health and well being. Through its dedication to scientific inquiry, education and leadership development, the Foundation pays tribute to the significance of everyday activities in enabling those who face personal challenges to realize their full potential in society.

    This online directory contains contact information for occupational therapy organizations throughout the United States, listed by State.

    National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)
    NIOSH is the Federal agency responsible for conducting research and making recommendations for the prevention of work-related injury and illness. NIOSH is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) within the Department of Health and Human Services.

    World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT)
    WFOT is the official international organization for the promotion of occupational therapy and has been representing occupational therapists around the world since 1952. The Federation believes that occupational therapy can make a valuable contribution to occupational performance as it affects the health and well-being of people.

    National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR)
    NIDRR provides leadership and support for a comprehensive program of research related to the rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities. Programmatic efforts are aimed at improving the lives of individuals with disabilities from birth through adulthood.

    Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA)
    RSA oversees formula and discretionary grant programs that provide such supports as counseling, medical and psychological services, job training, and other individualized services to help individuals with physical or mental disabilities obtain employment and live more independently.
