National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)
NIOSH is the Federal agency responsible for conducting research and making recommendations for the prevention of work-related injury and illness. NIOSH is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) within the Department of Health and Human Services.
World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT)
WFOT is the official international organization for the promotion of occupational therapy and has been representing occupational therapists around the world since 1952. The Federation believes that occupational therapy can make a valuable contribution to occupational performance as it affects the health and well-being of people.
National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR)
NIDRR provides leadership and support for a comprehensive program of research related to the rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities. Programmatic efforts are aimed at improving the lives of individuals with disabilities from birth through adulthood.
Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA)
RSA oversees formula and discretionary grant programs that provide such supports as counseling, medical and psychological services, job training, and other individualized services to help individuals with physical or mental disabilities obtain employment and live more independently.
