Administration on Aging (AoA)
AoA is the Federal government agency that provides home- and community-based care to millions of older adults through programs funded under the Older Americans Act. The web site provides information on a wide variety of topics, programs, and services related to aging for the benefit of older adults, caregivers, community service providers, researchers, and students.
Older Women's League (OWL)
OWL is a national, grassroots membership organization that strives to improve the status and quality of life for midlife and older women. National Institute on Aging (NIA)
NIA, one of the 25 National Institutes of Health, leads the Nation's scientific effort to understand the nature of aging and to improve the health and well-being of older Americans. The web site provides information about aging research, a wide range of topics of importance to older people and their families, and detailed information on research areas and funding opportunities for scientists.
National Council on Aging (NCOA)
NCOA is dedicated to improving the health and independence of older persons and encouraging their continuing contributions to their communities, society, and future generations. The web site provides publications for seniors, resources for professionals, a calendar of events, legislative alerts, current research findings, leadership and training opportunities, and access to groups that address special aging interests.
National Center on Elder Abuse
NCEA provides elder abuse information to professionals and the public, offers technical assistance and training to elder abuse agencies and related professionals, conducts short-term elder abuse research, and assists with elder abuse program and policy development. The web site provides a host of resources to support these goals.
National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a)
N4a is the umbrella organization for the 655 area agencies on aging and more than 230 Title VI Native American aging programs in the United States. N4a helps to ensure that these agencies and programs provide the resources and support services that make it possible for older Americans to remain in their homes.
