    National Mental Health Association (NMHA)
    NMHA is the country's oldest and largest nonprofit organization to address all aspects of mental health and mental illness through advocacy, education, research, and services. The web site includes information about mental health, answers to frequently asked questions, current news developments, support groups and treatment resources, media efforts, advocacy activities, publications, upcoming events, and local affiliates.

    National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare (NCCBH)
    NCCBH is a non-profit trade association that serves the educational, advocacy, and networking needs of more than 1,300 behavioral healthcare organizations throughout the United States that provide treatment and rehabilitation for mental illnesses and addiction disorders. The web site provides information on membership, current public policy issues, field studies, learning resources, upcoming events, and other resources on behavioral health care.

    National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)
    NIMH, part of the National Institutes of Health, is the Federal government agency that conducts research on the mind, brain, and behavior in an effort to improve mental health. The web site offers breaking news, links to health information, research and funding information, announcements of upcoming events, information about clinical trials, and free publications.

    National Partnership for Workplace Mental Health
    The Partnership works to advance effective employer approaches to mental health and promotes the business case for quality mental health care, including early recognition, access to care, and effective treatment. The web site provides tools and resources for employers and employees, a free quarterly publication focused on mental health in the workplace, and links to related Internet resources.

    American Psychiatric Association (APA)
    APA is a professional membership organization for psychiatrists working to ensure that all persons with mental disorders receive humane care and effective treatment. The web site provides information on advocacy activities, Federal and State updates, practice guidelines, publications, educational opportunities, upcoming meetings, and resources for members.
