    SAMHSA Center on Women, Violence and Trauma
    SAMHSA’s newly established national Center highlights the role of violence and trauma in the lives of people with behavioral disorders by developing leadership networks, disseminating information about emerging best practices, and stimulating change in the States and communities where trauma survivors live and work.

    Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPV)
    FVPV works to end violence against women and children around the world by promoting leadership within communities and changing the way health care providers, law enforcement personnel, and employers address violence. The Web site includes information about FVPV's programs, legislative alerts, current news, facts and resources, personal stories, and a list of links to a wide range of related organizations.

    National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV)
    NCADV is a nationwide network of approximately 2,000 domestic violence shelters, programs, and individual members working on behalf of battered women and their children. The web site includes information on community responses, getting help, State and Federal legislative developments, resources, and links to other organizations with information about domestic violence.

    National Women's Health Information Center (NWHIC)
    NWHIC, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the Federal government source for women's health information. The web site provides answers to frequently asked questions about women's health, special sections on a wide range of health issues, tools and resources, current news articles, and information about educational campaigns.

    Office on Violence Against Women (OVW): Violence Against Women: We Can Stop It
    This page offers readers links to organizations and institutions around the country that are addressing the role of men in ending violence against women. These links represent a sampling of groups operating at the local, State, and Federal levels.

    Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN)
    RAINN carries out programs to prevent sexual assault, help victims, and ensure that rapists are brought to justice. The web site provides statistics, the latest news and information, counseling resources, prevention tips, and more.
