National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA)
NCEA is a national resource that promotes understanding, knowledge sharing, and action on elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation among professionals, public policy leaders, researchers, and the public. The web site provides resources for elders and families, current news, statistics and research, promising practices and interventions, laws and legislation, a national action agenda on elder abuse, publications, a calendar of conferences, and related links and directories.
National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (N4A)
N4A is an umbrella organization for 655 area agencies on aging and more than 230 Native American aging programs in the U.S. that provide home- and community-based services which allow older persons to remain in their homes and preserve their independence and dignity. The web site provides information on advocacy issues, legislative priorities, events, and related links, as well as an Eldercare Locator and Eldercare Directory.
National Institute on Aging (NIA)
NIA, one of the 25 National Institutes of Health, provides national leadership in aging research, training, dissemination of health information, and implementation of other programs relevant to aging and older people. The web site provides information on research programs and efforts, consumer-oriented information on a wide range of topics important to older people and their families, and research and funding opportunities for scientists.
Administration on Aging (AoA)
AoA, a component of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, provides home- and community-based care to millions of older persons through the programs funded under the Older Americans Act. The web site provides a comprehensive overview of a wide variety of topics, programs, and services related to aging for use by older persons, caregivers, community service providers, researchers, and students.
