  • National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism government site

    NIAAA supports and conducts biomedical and behavioral research on the causes, consequences, treatment, and prevention of alcoholism and alcohol-related problems. Online and print resources are available—links to Medline and ETOH databases, information on grants and research, and related sites.

  • New Hampshire-Dartmouth Psychiatric Research Center (PRC)

    The PRC conducts interdisciplinary research on services for individuals with severe mental illness, primarily schizophrenia spectrum and bipolar disorders. PRC current areas of research include implementation of evidence-based practices, vocational rehabilitation/supported employment, services for homeless individuals, integrated treatment of co-occurring substance abuse, services for the elderly, trauma and post traumatic stress disorder, HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, and methodology of services research.

  • Consumer-Operated Services Program Multisite Research Initiative

    This is a multi-site research initiative was designed to examine the effect of consumer-operated mental health services and determine how participation in such services affects overall costs to patients, facilities, and the health care system in general. Funded by the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), the research involves seven study sites, including include drop-in centers, education and advocacy training programs, and peer or mutual support programs, and a coordinating center.
