Let the Revolution Begin: Dare to Transform Highlights Trauma-Informed Care

Forum Empowers Trauma-Informed Care Partnerships for Healing and Recovery

Later this week, from July 10-12, several hundred consumers/survivors, community leaders, researchers, administrators, and service providers are gathering to collaborate on how to create revolutionary change in human services through trauma-informed care.

The roundtables, plenaries, workshops, and other types of exchanges will be lead by well-known leaders in the work including Sandra Bloom, Tonier Cain, Stephanie Covington, Mark Davis, Roger Fallot, Dan Fisher, Judy and Julian Ford, Esther Giller, Ann Jennings, Jacki McKinney, Nikki Miller, Richard Mollica, Pat Risser, Carol Warshaw, and the list goes on. Topics will range from peer support, veterans and jail diversion, domestic violence and trauma, and human trafficking - but most of all, on different ways of implementing trauma-informed care in various human service systems with a special emphasis placed on how to implement the kind of trauma-informed change that will lead to healing and recovery. The event program can be viewed at: DareToTransform.ning.com.
