Wanda Finch, LICSW, CASWanda is one of the program managers of NCTIC focused on consumer and survivor program development. She is a Commander (CDR) in the U.S. Public Health Service and currently serves as a public health advisor for the Center for Mental Health Services in the Division of Service Systems Improvement. Assigned to the Community Support Programs Branch, Wanda provides management and technical assistance for recovery-oriented and mental health support service programs for adult consumers with mental illness. She is also responsible for the oversight of a Mental Health Transformation State Incentive Grant, the Statewide Consumer Network Grant, a variety of extramural mental health projects and clinical services to the United States Army at Fort Meade, MD. Prior to her commission, Wanda provided psychosocial and rehabilitative day services for the District of Columbia Department of Mental Health, Community Services Agency and clinical social work practice for PHP Healthcare, a contractor for the Department of Defense. Wanda also served as a principal investigator for child abuse and neglect, an independent consultation for an outpatient mental health center, and a reentry coordinator for the Regional Addiction Prevention (RAP), Incorporated. Wanda is a licensed independent clinical social worker in the District of Columbia, a member of the American Academy of Healthcare Providers, a member of National Association of Social Work, and a certified addictions specialist. She received a M.S.W. degree from Howard University and a Masters in counseling education from Pennsylvania State University.
