For over a decade the Center for Mental Health Services has been sponsoring conferences that serve to define the agenda of what needs to be done to recognize, understand, and spark and speed the healing and recovery process from violence and trauma. From Dare to Vision in 1994, to Dare to Act in 2004, and now Dare to Transform in 2008 we are moving ever closer to real action for positive and lasting change. Dare to Transform is the boldest expression yet of what needs to be and what can be done to bring about change.

The National Center for Trauma-Informed Care (NCTIC) Dare to Transform trauma summit July 11-12, 2008, is designed to create a revolutionary learning exchange devoted to trauma-informed innovation and systems transformation. To be held in Washington, DC at the Phoenix Park Hotel, Dare to Transform will bring together noteworthy experts on trauma-informed care and transformation across multiple sectors and areas of need.

Dare to Transform is a landmark networking forum to share implementation knowledge about transformation and foster trauma-informed care. As such, the conference is designed for diverse, yet necessary, stakeholders with expertise and/or commitment to learning and change, including administrators and those providing staff support, consumers/survivors, service providers, and representatives of outside groups who have a stake in this revolutionary transformation. We are excited for you to join us in this revolution.
