Component Description
Child and family demographic and descriptive information Includes data on age, sex, race/ethnicity, income, diagnosis, risk factors, and service history on the children and families served by systems of care
Child and family outcome data Measures behavioral and functional strengths and challenges for a sample of children using standardized instruments (i.e., Child Behavior Checklist, Youth Self-Report, and the Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale) and available data from schools and juvenile justice agencies
Consumer satisfaction data Assesses parents' and adolescents' satisfaction with services
Service system descriptive information Documents development of systems of care and the extent to which system-of-care principles are applied
Longitudinal comparison study Compares systems, services, and child and family outcomes in selected systems of care to those in more traditional systems
Service utilization and cost study Describes service utilization and related costs and examines their relationship to child outcomes
Family centered interviews Examines the match between the needs of the families and the response by selected systems of care
Managed care study Examines the impact of health care reforms on the organization of systems of care and service delivery
