Source: 1997 Client/Patient Sample Survey, Survey and Analysis
Branch, Division of State and Community Systems Development, Center for
Mental Health Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration,
Department of Health and Human Services. 1 A person with
serious functional impairment has a numeric rating of 1 to 60 based on a
scale of 1 to 100 adapted from the Global Assessment of Functioning (GAF)
scale for reporting overall functioning on Axis-V of DSM-IV. 2
Total includes the inpatient psychiatric care programs of multiservice mental
health organizations. 3 Percentage is based on five or fewer
sample cases or has a relative standard error of 50 percent or higher; therefore,
it is not shown because it does not meet standards of reliability.
Note: Percentages do not add to 100 because only selected diagnoses are
shown. |
