A Process, Not an Event

A potential implementer can purchase all the materials needed to get the project underway, but the process is more complex than merely following the steps defined in the manuals and guidebooks.

In whatever way an organization goes about implementing a chosen prevention program, successful practitioners know that it is never a finished product! In fact, the life cycle of an effective program looks more like a meandering country lane than a superhighway. Despite the twists and turns in the road, however, successful program implementation is possible.
