SAMHSA Plans its Second National Conference on WomenThe theme of SAMHSA's Second National Conference on Women is "Life Pathways: Women Healing, Thriving, and Celebrating," and will take place June 27-30, 1999, in Los Angeles, Calif., at the Wilshire Grand Hotel, (213) 688-7777. In addition to Substance Abuse and Mental Illness, conference topics will include Women and Work; Wellness for all Ages; Women and Their Families; Girls and Women in Institutional Settings; Violence Against Women; HIV/AIDS; Primary Health Care; Research on Women's Issues; Models of Cultural Competence; Focus on Youth; Resource Expansion; Senior Women's Issues; and Public Policy Issues.
