A pie chart showing the distribution of expenditures in 2002 by type of mental health organization. Almost half (46.8 percent) of expenditures were by all other mental health organizations. The remaining 2002 expenditures were made by non-Federal general hospitals (14.8 percent), private psychiatric hospitals (13.4 percent), residential treatment centers (12.2 percent), State and county hospitals (9.2 percent), and VA medical centers (3.5 percent).
