Center for Mental Health Services government site/resource
The Center for Mental Health Services is a Federal agency that provides services and programs in support of users of mental health services, their families, and workers in the mental health field. CMHS is one of 3 Centers within the the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Closing the Health Gap government site/resource
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and ABC Radio Networks are working together to sponsor Closing the Health Gap, a national campaign to bring the best health information to African American communities and help African American consumers take charge of their health.

Consumer-Operated Services Program Multisite Research Initiative
This is a multi-site research initiative was designed to examine the effect of consumer-operated mental health services and determine how participation in such services affects overall costs to patients, facilities, and the health care system in general. Funded by the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), the research involves seven study sites, including include drop-in centers, education and advocacy training programs, and peer or mutual support programs, and a coordinating center.

Florida Council for Community Mental Health (FCCMH)
FCCMH is a statewide association of about 60 community-based mental health and substance abuse agencies. The Council was originally formed in 1958 as an association of mental health clinic directors. Its role broadened in the 1960s and 1970s, as the focus of treatment shifted from state hospitals to communities. The Council's membership has expanded in recent years to include a number of agencies that specialize in substance abuse services and in children's services. Collectively, these agencies serve more than 200,000 Floridians a year.
