Community Correlates of Rural Youth Violence
Although decades of research have shed considerable light on the nature of the causes and correlates of juvenile delinquency, for the most part these studies have focused on youth crime in large metropolitan settings and generally overlooked delinquency in rural towns and smaller cities. This Bulletin addresses the lack of knowledge of rural youth violence by applying social disorganization theory to community correlates of youth violence in nonmetropolitan communities in Florida, Georgia, Nebraska, and South Carolina.

Frontier Mental Health Services Resource Network
The Frontier Mental Health Services Resource Network collects, analyzes, and synthesizes knowledge regarding mental health services in rural areas. Also offers technical assistance to rural agencies and advocates on mental health/substance abuse topics.

Health Resources and Services Administration's Office of Rural Health Policy government site/resource
The Office of Rural Health Policy (ORHP) promotes better health care service in rural America. The Office works both within government at Federal, State and local levels, and with the private sector (with associations, foundations, providers and community leaders) to seek solutions to rural health care problems.

National Association for Rural Mental Health (NARMH)
The National Association for Rural Mental Health (NARMH) was founded in order to develop and enhance rural mental health and substance abuse services and to support mental health providers in rural areas.
